Licenses and Permits
A "Combo" Archery permit for non-residents is available to harvest one (1) buck and one (1) doe for $410.00
A habitat stamp for $5.50 is also required, and a non-resident hunting license for $57.75 ( Full Season ) or $35.75 ( 5 Days ).
Gun Permits are issued by lottery.
Archery permits are now being issued by a lottery. Approximately 25,000 non-resident archery permits are issued. The drawing is from June 1st to 30th.
Hunters hunting with an outfitter will receive first preference for drawing a permit.
Permits must be obtained with a credit card by calling 1-888-6-PERMIT. They can also be ordered online at www.dnr.state.il.us
